A former Billings man was convicted late Monday of strangling his ex-wife and dumping her body in the Yellowstone River. A Dawson County jury found Walter Martin “Marty” Larson Jr guilty of deliberate homicide and tampering with evidence in the April 12, 2008 death of Susan Casey. the verdict was announced at 8 P.M., about five hours after the jury began deliberations. Judge Richard Simonton, who presided over the six-day trial, said a sentencing date for Larson will be set after a pre-sentence investigation. He remains in Custody.
