The Baker City Council met in regular session at the Fallon County Courthouse last night. During the meeting, city council members discussed the best location for refuse containers as they work to improve alleyways in parts of the city. Luke Holstein informed the board of his team’s efforts to get this done efficiently and provided guidance on anticipated time-frame, materials cost and modifications to garbage collection routes and other related factors.
The board discussed zoning regulations related to commercial signs around local businesses as well as conditional use permits for businesses in residential areas. A bid for FEMA’s road project was needed and the board approved the acquisition of a bid, without obligating the city to any final price tag associated with the project.
Board members appointed Leigh Ann LaCroix to the Safety Committee and nominated Shannon Johnson for the Recreation Department Fitness Instructor position.
The next city council meeting will be held on May 16th.
