The Baker City Council met in regular session last night. During the meeting, council members discussed a number of issues.
Alleyway reconstruction in Baker is within a few weeks of completion and Luke Holstein was in attendance to provide a time-frame and clarify project details. Following alleyway completion, the city plans to address the numerous potholes in roadways around Baker, although it was discovered that material durable enough to withstand the summer season alone won’t be available until next month. Options are limited in the meantime unless cold-mix can be sourced from Bismarck.
At Superior Care Villa, a loading zone will be designated near the facility’s eastern entrance to address an issue where parked vehicles are blocking emergency vehicles. In a recent incident, an EMS team had to request people move their vehicles before they could load an individual who needed immediate medical attention into their ambulance.
The next City Council meeting will be held on June 6th.
