A Hardin man has been accused of assaulting three women with a frying pan and killing one. James Isiah Brien, 22, faces one count of deliberate homicide and two counts of assault with a weapon. He is being held on a $1 million bond.
One of the victims had a bloody face another was in and out of consciousness, according to charging documents. The unconscious woman was hospitalized in Billings and put on life support. She died Saturday night.
Brien told police he was swinging the frying pan but denied hitting anyone, according to court documents. He is scheduled to appear in district court in Big Horn County on Tuesday.
